The bakery has a global goal of reaching net zero carbon emissions by the year 2050. Today, in addition to Colombia, Grupo Bimbo has fleets of electric delivery vehicles in countries such as Mexico, Guatemala and Costa Rica, adding up to more than 2,600 units globally.
With the arrival of new electric vehicles in Colombia, today, 70% of the bakery fleet in that country is low-emission, including vehicles with dual gas and gasoline systems, vehicles with Euro V – Euro VI technology that controls their emissions.
